When I look at maps
I think of all the places we have been -
I think of the last light in the desert,
our paddle out with the Atlantic tide,
rocking in the hammock overlooking a riverbed of cairns,
the night in the city of neon,
the sandbar sunbathing,
on the wall;
and although I think of the places still to go,
I’m happy with the collection of pinpoints and red string I’ll have
